All the meals in the centre are prepared by our chef Nikki, who aims to provide healthy, nutritious meals in line with Nutrition Australia Guidelines and Safe Eating.

With training in menu planning and assessment, Nikki has been working at the centre for many years, creating wonderful meals for the children. Lunches, snacks and fruit platters are all prepared and presented to make healthy food appealing.


Our menu offers 50% of a child’s daily nutritional requirements it also aims to provide a variety of flavours, textures and cultural influences. We have a 6 week cyclic menu for spring/summer and autumn/winter.

Food served at the centre is prepared with reference to the regularly updated Australian Dietary Guidelines. These provide advice about the amount and kinds of food that we need to eat for health and wellbeing. In 2018 Nikki created the “Family favourites cookbook”, a recipe book containing all of the most popular children’s meals.

In 2023, Nikki has been the driving force behind our Winter Warmers fund raiser. This program offers delicious, kid-approved meals big enough for the whole family to enjoy at home.


Milk and water is offered at morning and afternoon tea. Water is offered at lunch and throughout the day. Please be sure to bring a fresh, labelled water bottle along for your child each day.


For reasons of allergen control, outside food is not permitted to be brought into the centre.
